Illustration is an exciting and rewarding profession.
Today it is as essential as ever and will continue to grow and facilitate the need of society for visual stimulation and consumption.

Advertising, entertainment, education and corporate exposure are just some of the contexts within which illustration will continue to feature.

This course nurtures the fact that illustrators are and will continue to be visual communicators, working within prescribed contexts, addressing the needs of target audiences and clients, no matter how diverse and far reaching they may be.

They need to be as visually literate as ever, utilizing breadth, knowledge and application of media, technique and process including the ability to draw with confidence. They need to conceive ideas creatively and with innovation; to be educated, socially aware communicators, having understanding of subject matter and be able professionals, working within the parameters of the market place.
